What are Proxy Servers
Proxy servers
Proxy servers are servers that stand between, for example, a client PCs and world wide network. When the client PC sends a request to the distant server, the proxy server receives the request first and tries to comply with it. If the proxy server can’t complete the request it forwards this request to the original server. As the proxy server fulfills request, the result is stored in its cache. So, the next time a client sends the same request, the result is taken from the proxy server’s cache. Proxy servers are often used for high traffic networks to reduce response time. Proxy servers can also be used for content filtering. Companies can limit their employees to access certain web sites.
Web based anonymous proxy servers
Public web proxies are specially designed web sites to help you stay anonymous and to protect your personal information while browsing the internet. Generally proxy website contain URL input form and several options to control. They’re extremally easy to use – just enter website’s URL and press the “go” button. Anonymous web proxies work similar to regular ones but in addition they replace your IP address with their own and allow you to block tracking scripts on websites. They can also help you to bypass network restrictions and grant access to blocked sites, that’s why sometimes they’ve called proxy unblockers. There are lots of web proxies over the internet, you can find them with search engines.
